Aim: To describe an infrequent case of acinic cell carcinoma (ACC) originating from the nasal septum. Background: Acinic cell carcinoma is a rare malignant epithelial tumor of the salivary gland that can infrequently manifest in the nose and paranasal sinuses. Complete surgical excision is the primary treatment in most patients, allowing for a favorable prognosis. Case description: The authors present a case of a 62-year-old woman with a 6-month history of right nasal obstruction and epistaxis, with a reddish mass obstructing the right nasal cavity. Biopsy under local anesthesia revealed ACC and transnasal endoscopic resection of the tumor was performed. Conclusion and clinical significance: Acinic cell carcinoma from the sinonasal track is a very infrequent entity that has good prognosis after complete surgical excision. As is the case for rare tumors, more studies are necessary to have realistic insight into the clinical behavior of ACC.
